The Hickory used in these boards began as hammer handle blanks produced by a small company in Eutaw, Alabama. After the company lost many of the contracts they depended on, I purchased an entire pallet of their premium Hickory blanks to help support their business and ensure this exceptional hardwood wouldn't go to waste.
